Bath Time
As I work on the blog, Mark is dealing with a screaming baby because bath time is over. I'm sure you'll be able to tell how much she loves her baths.

Fun with Family
Enjoying the nice weather by taking a stroll in my backpack. Talked the entire time.
I love my aunt Kimmy! She makes me smile.

It's Official
We put the "Sits Up" sticker on her Baby's Firsts calendar on Monday. She can do it pretty well now.
She can even sit on her push toy and hold on. Can't believe my little baby is doing this.

Sitting
We're working on this skill now. Aunt Kimmy worked with her in the boppy this morning. (I made Titus pose beside her for a few pictures. Can you tell he's not excited at all about this?) Since tummy time is a "no go" right now, we just have to work on another skill instead of crawling.

No, Not Me
I felt like my visit to the vet Friday morning was an entire "No, not me" episode, so I'll start at the beginning...
No, not us. We did not start buying cheaper dog food for Titus which caused some SERIOUS digestive issues (I'll spare you the details) that caused an "emergency" run to the vet.
No, not me. I did not call the wrong veterinary clinic and tell them the entire story of Titus' issues and then argue with the lady when she told me we hadn't been in to the clinic in three years. We did change vets right after Titus' first few appointments, but I certainly would not have mixed up the two clinics three years later.
No, not me. I did not take my baby to the vet clinic for the two hour visit and refuse to take her out of her car seat because I just couldn't handle her and the dog.
No, not me. I surely would have known that my daughter had a poopy diaper at the clinic and was probably the reason she was so fussy. After discovering this at home (meaning she had been sitting in it for possibly two hours), I admit that I would not have changed her diaper at the vet clinic anyhow.
No, not me. I did not leave my purse out in the Pilot and ask the vet tech to watch my baby so I could go out to the car and get it.
No, not me. I did not have to drag my dog out of the corner of the exam room multiple times because he too is afraid of strangers.
No, not me. I did not sing to my baby, play peek-a-boo, and rock the carseat the entire time at the vet to quiet my baby. I'm sure the staff thought I was crazy.
No, not me. After spending X number of dollars on the vet bill, I did not proceed to buy beef steaks for Titus because I was promised that they would help out his digestive issues. I also did not have to teach my dog how to eat a beef steak because he kept spitting it out on the laundry room floor. Seriously, I thought dogs were carnivores.
No, not us. We do not have four things that we have to add to Titus' dog food to repair his digestive system after we were too cheap to buy him better food. Feeding time is quite the regimen right now.
Perhaps this episode is preparing me for more children down the road. Regardless, when we came home I put Adde to bed and laid down myself.

Finding My Feet
This week Addelynn has discovered her feet and now enjoys sucking on them during diaper changes. I originally was taping her because her new noise of the week is blowing air. She does it all the time, especially right after eating. The funniest is when she does it with her nuk in. You can hear her blowing a few times in the video (the really loud one midway through is me trying to get her to blow some more), but you can also see her new gymnastic moves.
A few updates from previous posts...
1. Belly sleeping is no longer working...back to 45 minute naps but crabby because she wants to sleep more. Got to figure that one out.
2. The squash was not that bad on the other end.

Squash
Hopefully my first vegetable will look just as cute on the other end. Mommy is a bit nervous about this...

Learning Curve
Mark and I feel like the past five months have been a huge learning curve for our family. Sometimes the slope is extremely steep like it was this past week when Adde was experiencing so many new things. So here's a handful of things we've learned about our growing and changing daughter.
1. When she talks very loudly she is not upset, but just learning to communicate with us. This video captures her gibberish. Please don't mind the occasional "brown outs" due to Titus.
2. Our daughter does not have a lingering cough. She enjoys her fake cough as another method of communicating.
3. Adde already prefers men. Trouble for us. She showed this past week that she finds men to be hilarious. Watch her laugh at Grandpa Rohrer.
4. Adde also loves dogs. Too bad we don't know any male dogs who could babysit.
5. Adde will take a two hour nap if on her belly. She just did two two-hour naps today. Yipee!
6. Adde likes her cereal thick. We have progressed to eating cereal twice daily. Veggies come soon.
7. She prefers big kid toys and adult items like pop cans and bottles. Baby toys are apparently too juvenile.
8. We can attach toys to Adde's jumper. Didn't know what the extra loops were for until we saw Mimi's jumper. Yes, we are brilliant.
Enjoy a few more pictures from our trip.

The Visit
Here are some pictures of my trip to Indiana. I've been with lots of people other than mommy and daddy and have done pretty well. Actually much better than mommy expected. I'm excited to spend a few more days here because so many people will hold me, rock me, and cater to my every demand!
