Fun with Philo
This has been a favorite activity as of late - feeding and watering her puppy Philo. She told me she needed to get Philo's food from the bathroom, which is where Grandma kept Toby's food. I found a bag of cotton balls for her to use as food. Needless to say, there were cotton balls all over the house as she moves Philo's food and water everywhere.
Then she told me that Philo needed a diaper change, so she got into her diaper bag and did the following. I'm sure Titus is hoping he is not next. Later in the day she needed a bib for him while she served him a snack from her kitchen.

County Fair
Although it does not really compare to the 4-H Fair back home, our county fair was still a fun event for Adde and me. She loved seeing all the animals, especially the sheep, goats, and pigs. She got to pet a horse's nose and hold its "leash" too. If the dog agility show was not so slow, that would have been a favorite too. Makes me realize that we need to keep exposing this city girl to the farm life.

Note to self
The following might not be such great ideas of things to do when 9 months pregnant:
1. Shopping for a mattress. The laying down and getting up to try out each mattress was much harder than anticipated. I'm sure everyone at the store was laughing at me.
2. Attending a 2 day conference. Sitting, sitting, sitting. I don't do much of that in a normal day with Adde, so my body was really not use to this. But the speakers were definitely worth it.
Just some things to note if I am ever in this situation again.

Reading
She loves to read to herself or have books read to her. I do not think I am exaggerating when I say that we sit and read for at least 2 hours a day. I especially enjoy hearing her read to herself. She remembers certain phrases and sometimes says them with the right page. Or she just flips through the pages repeatedly. Here is her rendition of Brown Bear and The Foot Book. Notice she now says "The End" when she's finished. In the middle of The Foot Book, she does start saying "Here I am", from "Where is Thumbkin?". Her mind doesn't always keep things straight, which makes it hard for us to follow sometimes!
Quotable
A few fun conversations with our little conversationalist...
While sitting in her high chair eating breakfast, Daddy comes up to say goodbye like he does most days.
Daddy: Adde, daddy is going bye-bye. Where is he going?
Adde: To friend's house.
Mommy: Really honey. Are you sure he isn't going to work?
Adde: Daddy go work.
Mommy: Daddy does have some friends at work, but he is going to work today.
We're reading a book that requires ticking, so I lifted up her shirt to reach her belly for tickling.
Adde: (While rubbing her belly) The baby not moving. She's sleeping.
I am singing "Praise Him, Praise Him" to Adde.
Adde: Mommy sing children.
Mommy: (While thinking what song she could possibly mean) I'm not sure what song you mean honey.
Adde: Sing children. Children of world!
Mommy: Oh, you want "Jesus loves the little children". I can sing that.
We've been reading so many books about having a new baby because Adde is obsessed with reading them. I think we read "The New Baby at Your House" about twenty times a day.
Adde: Adde stop baby sister crying.
Mommy: How are you going to do that?
Adde: With my hand. (as she is holding her hand in a stop motion or the stay command we use for Titus) Adde stop baby crying with hand.
Mommy: You can try that when baby sister comes. We'll see how that works for you.
